Club Officers

Kevin Hoffman, President, 713/305-5468

As a life long Democratic and twenty year resident of Houston, Kevin has been very active both in the Democratic Party and the community.  He has served as an Election Judge for many Precincts across Harris County from the Garden Oaks subdivision to Pasadena, TX.  In 2006 he served as a delegate to the State Democratic Convention in Fort Worth.

Kevin is a former President of Lindale Park Civic Club and the current President of the Northside Village Super Neighborhood Council #51.

Vice President: Turner Wright

Vicki Bellow, Treasurer

Vicki is one the Club’s founding members and as Treasurer, she often uses her own money to underwrite Club finances during times of "lean operations".  Vicki is one of the hardcore who has kept this Club alive since 1994 when it hasn’t always been ‘cool’ to be a Democrat !  She is known for her vibrant energy and unrelenting committment to organize a garage sale to raise Club money or register voters at public events.

Vicki’s youngest son recently returned from Iraq, so she knows and feels first-hand the perils that the current administration has forced upon American families.

Kathleen Vossler, Secretary

Scott D Bruns, Conceptual Web Designer

Scott and Jamie Scott was never a registered Democtrat, yet in voting his values found himself consistently aligned with the Democtratic Party platform.  After two frustrating defeats in recent national elections he decided to become more active where he can make a difference, in the local Heights community.  Scott’s professional experience ranges from managing consumer affairs for a Fortune 500 company, to online creative consultation and development for local professionals and charities.  Currently, Scott attends the University of Houston where he studies mathematics.  In his spare time he aids his wife in her law practice.

Max Beauregard, Past President

Mary Kay Green, Past President

As a lifelong resident of Houston and licensed attorney, Mary Kay has been involved in Democratic Party politics since 1982.  She was elected a precinct chair in 1986 and she served in that capacity until 2002, when she first ran for public office.  She has attended every state convention since 1982 and two national conventions.  This is her second, 1 year term, as President of the Greater Heights Democratic Club.

Since there are NO Democratic judges in our county courthouse, Mary Kay ran in 2006  for Judge of the 245th Family District Court.  She came within 1% of winning, so clearly Dems are on the rise!!    Democratic values are particularly important in family court because these courts hear divorces, adoptions, and other cases that affect us all on a daily basis.
