The Heights Democratic Club is a neighborhood-based, subgroup in affiliation with the Harris County Democratic Party. It was established to promote the ideas and beliefs of the Democratic party. We achieve our mission by recruiting speakers for our members from candidates and elected officals at all levels of government. We are called the Greater Heights Democratic Club because we welcome members from adjacent areas to the Heights, particularly inside the Loop between I-10 and Loop 610. Actually we welcome anyone of any belief, as long as they help us promote Democratic causes and candidates.

The Greater Heights Democratic Club (GHDC) has not and will not make endorsements for the March 4 Primary Election.
However, a group of individuals masked as "Greater Harris County Democrats" has placed a link on their web site to The Greater Heights Democratic Club’s web site. This action has given some voters the FALSE impression that GHDC was in some way part of the endorsement of those candidates for the March 4 Primary Election. We are not sure yet who are the individuals behind this, but obviously such subversive behavior is not very "Democratic".
It should be noted that this phantom group of individuals, and their so called “Club”, have no officers, meeting times, and are not sanctioned by other local groups or by the state democratic party.
The Greater Heights Democratic Club is asking that you please disregard the endorsements made by this rogue group of individuals. We are also asking that you research thoroughly each of the candidates for yourself. GHDC has set time aside at its next meeting to help you with your research.
Our next meeting is this Saturday at Chatters Restaurant,
If you would like review some of real endorsements made by real political clubs that have plans to make endorsements please visit the following web sites:

You can find contact information to other clubs at www.hcdp.org under that heading “Local Democratic Clubs”.
