Greater Heights Democratic Club

The Heights Democratic Club is a neighborhood-based, subgroup in affiliation with the Harris County Democratic Party. It was established to promote the ideas and beliefs of the Democratic party. We achieve our mission by recruiting speakers for our members from candidates and elected officals at all levels of government. We are called the Greater Heights Democratic Club because we welcome members from adjacent areas to the Heights, particularly inside the Loop between I-10 and Loop 610. Actually we welcome anyone of any belief, as long as they help us promote Democratic causes and candidates.

Reserve Wed Sept 19 2007 to welcome Michelle Obama to Houston.

We have just received notice from the Obama for President campaign office, that the Senator and Mrs. Obama have selected Houston as an important, if not essential city to bring their message of hope for America. Theirs is a message of hope for America and a policy which is sensitive to the needs of common people.

Sept 19 shall be one of the rare opportunities to share a personal moment with this extraordinary and gracious lady. We are indeed fortunate to have a family role model such as the Obamas who represent the highest quality of integrity and leadership.
