Judge will consider request to authorize "fishing expedition"
The opposition’s 202 hearing has been rescheduled to Wednesday, May 16, at 4:00 pm. The public is allowed to observe and take notes (no photos during the hearing). Several of us will be there — with our RR buttons on — to see what happens and talk to the media. Will you go along with us?
Watch for a RichmondRail media advisory with more background on the players and their history later today. We alerted you in mid-April that rail opponents filed a "202 motion" in civil court. If granted, the motion would allow rail opponents to "fish for evidence" against METRO. What: Hearing on motion filed on behalf of Daphne Scarbrough |

Rail opponents are now working with two big-time, media-savvy political operatives, who helped them garner some one-sided coverage from KPRC-2 over the weekend:
Part 1 aired Sunday night at 10:00 pm: Part 2 aired Monday at 5:00 pm: Feel free to let KPRC’s Investigators know (nicely) what you think of their story. RichmondRail volunteers are contacting reporter Robert Arnold to line up a Part 3 and tell our side of the story. If you live or work on Richmond or very near it, and would like the media to hear why you support rail on Richmond, please let us know ASAP at support@richmondrail.org! |
